As COO, Steve has had overall responsibility for all the operations of the Crystal family of companies for over a decade. In addition to leading the parent company, Crystal Window & Door Systems with locations in Flushing, NY and northeast PA, Steve strategically guides the company’s affiliate fenestration manufacturers Crystal Chicago in Illinois and Crystal Pacific in Riverside, CA, as well as the Missouri-based subsidiary, Gateway Extrusions. In his role as corporate leader of company sales, he directs dealings with window dealer/distributors, specialty installers as well as large-scale projects, from proposal and estimation to production and delivery. Steve also guides corporate functions including production, finance, accounting, product research and development, marketing and advertising initiatives, branch office operations, sales administration, and human resources.

Steve Chen has been involved with many local and regional business and trade organizations, including serving as past President of the Northeast Window & Door Association, as a former member of a New York Federal Reserve Bank Advisory Council, and as a national judge for Window & Door Magazine’s annual industry achievement award program. Steve’s business expertise and success was recently recognized by leading business magazine Crain’s New York Business, which named him to its prestigious 2016 40 Under 40 list.
